From the Eastern DRC city of Goma, we drove towards Rwanda through Gisenyi town and then to Cyanika - Rwanda/Uganda border. Our 8 days road trip started from Cyanika border in Rwanda/Uganda up to Kapchorwa (Sipi) in Eastern Uganda and back to Goma. We pitched our tents along the way, cooking in the wild, hiking and having lots of fun.
Distance covered: Almost 1900 KM
Starting from Goma, we camped at the following places:-
Day 1: Lake Bunyonyi
Day 2: Lake Nyabikere (Rweteera)
Day 3 & 4: Nile River (Jinja)
Day 5: Sipi Falls
Day 6: Mpanga Forest
Day 7: Kabale (No camping)
Day 8: Lake Mutanda (Kisoro)
