"Test before invest" is one of over 30 Services of EDIH Applied CPS.
The Slovenian company Priot d.o.o., in collaboration with Silicon Austria Labs GmbH, developed an intelligent bark beetle trap as part of the EDIH Applied CPS program. Printed sensors were combined with corresponding electronics, and a solar cell provides the power supply. The innovative monitoring system has passed field tests and operates independently of its energy source. The trap is based on printed capacitive sensors and wireless data transmission, allowing bark beetle infestations to be monitored in real time in the future.
