Secrets Of The Trails On Vacation: Barrie Waterfront Trail

Описание: In this installment of Secrets Of The Trails "On Vacation", I check out the Barrie Waterfront Trail, an approximately 6.5 km (approx 4 mi) trail that runs along the waterfront of Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie, Ontario, that's part of Lake Simcoe.

This video highlights the first approximately 2 miles of the trail, which is fully paved and passes by some beautiful bayfront parks, from just west of Minet's Point to the the "East End" at the edge of Heritage Park.

The remainder of the trail, noted on Google Maps and other trail maps as the "Barrie North Shore Trail", that extends another 2 miles and terminates at Penetanguishene Road.

Oh, and the town of Barrie is very beautiful and the people are friendly! There are some very cool businesses in the city center, a great farmer's market by the City Hall, and very interesting public art pieces everywhere! I want to shout out to the Homestead Artisan Bakery & Cafe on Dunlop Street - they have excellent food and coffee drinks, and the atmosphere is homey!

Bring your bikes (or rent one), and check out the city of Barrie and all it has to offer!
