The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) has successfully completed the inspection of India’s first cable-stayed Anji Rail Bridge in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. The 725-meter-long bridge, a key part of the Katra-Banihal rail line, is crucial for connecting Srinagar to Kanyakumari. The bridge, supported by 96 metal cables, passed load testing with no issues. Preparations are underway to fully open the 111-kilometer rail route, with final testing and repairs between Reasi and Katra.
