In this video series, I continue working on the Santa Maria model ship, focusing on hull planking and transforming the build into a realistic shipwreck diorama.

In this video, I continue building the Santa Maria model ship, focusing on the outer hull details: fitting the wales and adding the timber planking between them.
I show how I measure, shape, and bend the wales to follow the hull lines, using an electric plank bender to achieve smooth and consistent curves. After installing the wales, I move on to fitting and finishing the timber between the wales, refining the surface and blending everything into the hull.
This step adds a lot of character to the ship and is an important part of both model ship construction and the later shipwreck diorama transformation.
The video is filmed as a real-time work session (sped up), showing my personal workflow — not necessarily the only or best method, but one that works for me.
