Sorry I haven’t posed in a while. It took me a few days to put together a smooth lap because I couldn’t fully concentrate on the lap after passing Tamburello. The best I could manage was just a few tenths quicker than Senna’s final recorded lap after the safety car came back in during the Grand Prix. I had hoped to recreate a lap closer to, or maybe even faster than Senna’s Qualifying time on the Friday, but he drove too perfectly that day. Tragically, fate would prevent him from avoiding the wall at Tamburello during the Grand Prix on Sunday, the 1st of May 1994, and even after 31 years, it brings up emotions I can’t put into words.
