We push four GEnx engines to maximum thrust on a decaying, salt-eroded service road where the asphalt crumbles into the ocean. We must rotate this heavy 747 freighter before the cliff edge vanishes, fighting violent coastal crosswinds and simulated structural failure to achieve an impossible lift-off over the crashing Atlantic waves.
