Behind our lush green spaces are dedicated plant scientists working tirelessly to protect our urban greenery. Working together with streetscape and park managers, hear from scientists Azhari and Jaren from the NParks' Plant Science & Health branch, who help to safeguard our plants from diseases and pests. 🔬

Azhari specialises in diagnosing and managing plant diseases caused by fungi, bacteria and viruses, whilst Jaren focuses on identifying insect pests and developing practical pest management solutions. Together, they also conduct vital biosurveillance work that protects our local plant resources and facilitates safe international plant trade.
