Francis Craig
(1900–1966) was an American songwriter and bandleader whose 1947 hit "Near You" became a pivotal moment in music history, helping establish Nashville as a recording center.

The Nashville Pioneer: Craig led the house band at Nashville’s Hermitage Hotel for over 20 years.
Record-Breaking Hit: Recorded for the independent Bullet Records, "Near You" stayed at #1 on the Billboard charts for 17 consecutive weeks.
