78 years ago the U.S. territory of Guam was liberated from Japanese forces. Every year we celebrate this special day to give thanks to the many soldiers who lost their lives. The past couple years we were not allowed a parade due to the covid pandemic. This year, on the spur of the moment, Gov.Aunty Lou, decided to continue this tradition and go ahead with a parade. Many villages didn't have time to make floats, but surprisingly, a few did.
Video and Audio: It rained so hard that while recording I was trying to wipe my lens to no avail, it only made it worse. My entire persons and everything on me was drenched in rainwater. Rain would get into the Mic hole and distort the audio too. Other than that, I believe I've captured the moment.
In closing I would like to thank our Governor for going ahead with this celebration. And most of all, I would to thank all of our fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice to bring freedom to this small, pacific island. BIBA GUAM!
