This origami tight trefoil knot is folded using the same bends as Thoki Yenn's umulius rectangulum aka magic rings or impossible rectangles. Some of the bends are centered on the paper just like the umulius rectangulum, but some of the bends are off center which makes them more difficult to collapse. I don't fold geometric origami like this much anymore, but I was very into it many years ago when I first folded this. It is a modification of a design I found on a blog by the author Siggy, his original design was modular so I adjusted my previous trefoil knot crease pattern to fold this from one sheet.
