A Spectacular Day of Railfanning around Palmer Mass 2/19/24

Описание: Well, hello again everyone. I hope you are all doing well and are staying warm. This video is a bit out of date although it feels more recent than it was. On February 19th, @CTrail6696 , @trainlover0315 , and a mutual friend of ours who doesn’t post videos, met up for a day of Railfanning around the Palmer Mass area. The day started early our first catch being L012 arriving at Palmer with two CSX Geeps #6223 and #6245 for power. After 608 would head to the CSX interchange and drop cars there. The power was NECR SD40T-2 #3317 leading and NECR GP38-2 #2168 and BPRR GP38-2 #3511 trailing. We watched 603 in the yard which had NECR GP40-2 #417 which did a few switching moves before 608 returned back lite. After we decided to go catch NECR 611 a road train from Bellow Falls Vermont to Palmer and back. This day's train consisted of 4 SD40-2s NECR #3478 NECR #3405 NECR #3320 and NECR #3475 all painted in G&W colors. We caught 611 coming southbound at Main Street in Three Rivers and saw it northbound at Quaboag Street also in three rivers. After returning to CSX trackage, M264 (Autoracks for East Brookfield) came by with CSXT ES40DC #5461 (Seaboard Emblem) leading and ES44AH #837 trailing. After grabbing that we would watch L012 prepare ti head west and we would try to leap it to Wilbraham Mass which we did. However, we weren’t paying too much mind and almost missed the train. So, with a rushed shot, we decided to catch 012 one more time as it worked the demolition facility in Wilbraham. We got the train departing not too long after that. Before returning to Palmer, we caught the westbound lakeshore limited with a trio of P42s (95,89,97) in charge of the train. Once returning to Palmer after 449, we caught our final trains there which were M426 which had CW44ACs #473 leading, #485 and #488 trailing and a nice train bound for Portland Maine. The last train was CSX M439 a Worcester train which had ES40DCs #5279 and #5288 for power and a decent sized train for Selkirk. After that we decided to start making our way back home.
