Despite some recent significant changes to the political situation in Cyprus the British soldier's day-to-day job of maintaining the status quo on the buffer zone remains the same.
29 Regiment Group have taken up residency at Ledra Palace in Nicosia and are now halfway through their six month tour.
Forces News cameras have joined them on patrol in the buffer zone - a part of the island that has become frozen in time.
