Five pedestrians narrowly escaped death while crossing the Nepean Highway in Mornington when a Mazda driver ran a red light at more than 90 kilometres per hour, 20 kilometres above the speed limit. Police are speaking to the vehicle owner but are still attempting to locate the pedestrians involved in the incident.
