Etnik müzikle tanımlanmış bir şehirde, rock müziği yaşatmak için hayatla mücadele eden bir grup insan, Diyarbakır’dan yükselen sesiyle “imkânsız” denilen her şeye meydan okur.
Bu film, yalnızca bir müzik grubunun hikâyesi değil; bir şehrin ezberlerini zorlayan sessiz bir direnişin kaydıdır.
Grup Kumlu, 10 yılı aşkın süredir Diyarbakır’da rock müzik yapıyor.
Ancak onların mücadelesi sahnede bitmiyor. Hayat ile müzik arasında sıkışmış hayatlar…
Aile babası, öğretmen, eş, emekçi… Gündüz başka kimliklerle yaşayan bu insanlar, gece sahnede kendileri olmayı seçiyor.
Diyarbakır’da rock müziğin “olmaz” denildiği bir coğrafyada,
onlar ısrarla var olmayı seçti.
Yıllar boyunca: Rock müziğin bu şehirde bir karşılığı olduğunu gösterdiler, canlı performans yapılan mekânların artmasına öncülük ettiler, kazandıkları her kuruşu yeniden müziğe yatırdılar ve kendi imkânlarıyla küçük ama özgür bir stüdyo kurdular.

The band Kumlu has been playing rock music in Diyarbakır for over 10 years.
But their struggle does not end on stage. Lives caught between life and music...
Family man, teacher, spouse, labourer... These people, who live under different identities during the day, choose to be themselves on stage at night.
In a region where rock music was deemed ‘impossible’ in Diyarbakır,
they chose to persistently exist.
Over the years: They showed that rock music had a place in this city, pioneered the increase in venues for live performances, reinvested every penny they earned back into music, and built a small but free studio with their own resources.
