Nowadays, both Alien and Aliens are regarded as classics in their respective genres. They had a profound influence on science fiction and cinema as a whole. However, whenever there's a discussion about the greatest film trilogies ever made, Alien is never brought up. Of course, every trilogy has its weakest link. But the discourse surrounding Alien 3 goes beyond that. Is Alien 3 really be as bad as some say? And how did Alien 3 even earn this reputation?
