MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - Police and paramedics were responding to an active shooter situation unfolding on Wednesday at a church on the south side of Minneapolis, local news reported
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said he has been briefed on a shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. “I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence,” the governor said on X.
Authorities are on the scene, the officials said. The city of Minneapolis said that the shooter has been “contained” and there is “no active threat to the community.” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said he is “monitoring reports of horrific violence in South Minneapolis.”
