This is my second build of the great Revell Apollo Saturn V model kit in 1/144 scale. I built this in 2019 as a Christmas present for my parents who are – just like me – great fans of aviation and space flight. They actually witnessed the first moon landing of Apollo 11 on July 20, 1969 live on TV.
I have built this model a little different than my first one. I used different colors, based on actual Saturn V photos and deviated from the build process shown in the manual. Of course the old Revell kit has its flaws and shortcomings, but once more I think the finished model is pretty impressive on the shelf.
