Artis Wodehouse pianolizes (foot-pumps) C. Luckyth Roberts important ragtime composition, The Junk Man Rag as arranged/played by "Stanford Robar" on a 1912 foot-pump player piano. Stanford Robar was a pseudonymn adopted by Leland Stanford Roberts (1884–1949) the vice-president of the QRS Music Roll Company, who recorded hundreds of piano rolls under his name and also the pseudonym Stanford Robar.
The roll -- seen in the video -- contains a dotted line indicating dynamic inflections from loud to soft that could be added by the pianolist as they played through the roll. Wodehouse is largely following this line, called an "expression line".
