The Independent Police Investigative Directorate’s report into the
theft of foreign currency from President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala
farm has been declassified. Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia says
the probe into officers who handled the case is complete, and access
to the report is available through formal PAIA processes. Meanwhile,
court proceedings continue over the 2020 theft of 580,000 US dollars
allegedly linked to the sale of Ankole cattle. uMkhonto we Sizwe Party
spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela questions the timing and transparency of
the move.
