This video introduces phase diagrams, which can be used to determine the phases present within alloys at different temperatures and compositions.
After learning how to read the phase diagram, you will be shown how to determine the Eutectic point, the Eutectic composition and Eutectic temperature for a given alloy. The Eutectic point is where the alloy changes directly from liquid to laminated solid (or vice versa). This also occurs at the lowest possible temperature.
