This has come in for repair from Clint aka Oxford Shortwave Log @OxfordShortwaveLog . Here's a recent video he made explaining the issues • My beloved Sony ICF-SW55 has finally died.... . Last week I got it all back together after replacing the supercap and upgrading the lamp to an ultrbright LED. Howeve there was an issue with SSB reception as it wasn't switching between upper and lower sidebands. I'm hoping that today I can get it all done. Make sure you pop over to Clint's channel and check out his great content.
Also, time permitting, I have some Grundig parts in for repair and a set of Sony headphones thats not working on one channel.
