Diane on the model boat pond in Vallensbæk, Denmark.
This boat was originally built in 1984, based on the Billing Boats "Rainbow" shrimp boat kit no. 201 in scale 1/60. The size is 28x9cm.
This boat sank the same year it was built in "Vallensbæk Nordhavn" (The model boat pond) western part, during the Perfect Storm
Then it spent some dry and lonely time in the basement of the builder until 2017, where it was restored and renamed to the builder's daughter's name Diane. It sails by the Parisian motto ”Fluctuat Nec Mergitur”, (Floates but wont sink)
The motor in this boat comes from a tape recorder and is the original motor from 1984
