Vildan is not around. Macide and Yildiz are now skeptical. Macide tells Yildiz to bring Elif. She wants to talk to Elif… at least try to talk. Mustafa comes home with bad news. It turns out that the girl in the orphanage in Edirne (another city) is not Elif. Yildiz and Reyhan tell Elif that Macide is a good hearted girl. Elif is shy and scared but she listens to Reyhan.

Macide asks Elif questions about her identity. Elif remembers the accident. It turns out that Yusuf gave her some instructions at his last breathe. He told her to keep her identity as a secret. This is one of the reasons Elif is not talking about herself.

Macide and Elif walk in the garden. Vildan comes. When Elif sees Vildan, she is stunned. Macide understands there is something fishy going on. She calls Vildan and commands her to speak. Vildan says she doesn’t know the girl. Vildan is cornered. She says she knows the girl but she doesn’t know so much about her. Macide tries to understand.

Vildan comes up with a lie. She says the girl is her uncle’s granddaughter. She also adds that the girl’s mother and father died in an accident with the uncle… so she brought the girl to the mansion. Macide asks why she was in the cellar but not her room. Vildan has an answer for that, too. Macide grows skeptical but she forgives Vildan for that moment.

Vildan wants to take Elif back to her room but the name “Elif” slips out. Macide hears that. She doesn’t understand she is “the” Elif but the name has impact on Macide. Macide tells Yildiz and Reyhan to take good care of Elif because she doesn’t trust Vildan. It’s the first time Reyhan and Yildiz learn her name. Macidesays Elif is going to live with them now.

Kerem and Humeyra come home and see Elif. They both hear the story. Kerem thinks Macide did something right but Humeyra thinks otherwise.
With the shock, Vildan faints in her room. Elif helps her. Reyhan gets Vildan medicine but she scolds Reyhan for taking Elif out of the cellar. Reyhan goes mad. Vildan tells Reyhan to send Elif to her room. Reyhan doesn’t want to give Elif back to Vildan but there is nothing she can do about it.
