I answer with silence, my tongue turns to lead
A riot of thoughts echo loud in my head

Footsteps behind me when no one's there
A chill hand caresses me out of thin air
I'm never alone, these phantoms cling tight
Turning whispers to screams in the dead of night

My sanity is cracking like glass under strain
Fragments of me scattered, no two pieces the same
I laugh in the dark though nothing is funny
Tears on my face, warm blood tastes like honey

Hush now, the voices are starting to sing
A lullaby of madness with a jarring ring
Round and round on this carousel mind
No way to escape what lives inside

The mirror man smiles with a terrible grin
He knows that I'm captive, I'll never win
I pound on the glass as the darkness laughs
Losing myself in these mindless paths
