Night Sky over Rocky Towns of Czechia -Timelapse Video

Описание: Timelapse video of a night sky over spectacular rocky towns of Czechia featuring some iconic locations in Bohemian Switzerland National Park (České Švýcarsko Národní park), Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area (Český Ráj) & Kokořínsko. Czech Republic might be located in the middle of Europe, with the nearest sea about 700km far away, however once upon the time, it used to be submerged in warm tropical ancient sea waters. Main evidence of that are very unique multiple rocky sandstone towns created by forces of nature through millennia.

There are 4 different areas or those spectacular rocky towns - Bohemian Switzerland National Park (České Švýcarsko Národní park), Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area (Český Ráj), Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area & Adršpach.

Probably the most featured location in this timelapse is Pravčická Brána - Pravčice Sandstone Gate - The narrow rock formation & largest natural sandstone arch in Europe, possibly the most iconic natural landmark of Czech Republic. Although it is a natural wonder, entry there is only possible during daytime hours depending on the time of the year (the entire area is closed by various massive iron gates in narrow places). I was (and hopefully will be in the future too) very lucky to get special permission to shoot there over night. One of those nights was a Full Moon night and then the New Moon night with very dark sky for the #MilkyWay. Unfortunately the New Moon night was very windy and cloudy, which resulted in very dramatic sequence, I am happy with slightly different result than I was aiming for. There is always a next year to hopefully get clear Milky Way passing by Pravčice Sandstone Gate.

Those 2 giant heads carved in a rock are called Devil's Heads (Čertovy hlavy) in Kokořín Valley Nature Reserve (Kokořínsko Chráněná krajinná oblast) - Impressive sculpture created by Václav Levý in the mid 1800s - Almost 10 meters high heads carved into sand stone rock.

The other wonderful natural rock arch formation is a unique location in Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj) called Falcon Kisses or Bird's Kiss (Sokolí pusinky, Ptačí polibek)
