How To: Install the W8 LED & Ambient Interior Light Upgrade into your VW Transporter T5.1 & T6

Описание: We're back with another "How To" and this time it's only a simple 20-minute guided walkthrough! We will be demonstrating "How To" Remove Your Factory VW Transporter Interior Light (Halogen Bulbs) and Upgrade it to the W8 LED & Ambient Interior Light! The difference is impressive!

This relatively simple upgrade is one you can do yourself! Making this change, you will gain two red ambient spotlights plus super white bright interior lights (say that 3 times faster 😅). The red mini spotlights will light up your dashboard like a cockpit with an awesome red glow whilst the white LEDs provide more wide-spread and consistent bright light throughout the whole vehicle.

No more faffing around in your vehicle, late at night, in the dim yellow light, struggling to find the item you've dropped down the side of your seat!

With this "How To" there are only 7 quick steps... So why not, give it a go!

See the steps below:

00:00 - Start of Video.
Step 1 - 03:01 – Remove the interior light, A-pillar, light switch & relevant dashboard panels.
Step 2 - 05:53 – Connect the T-Harness with the existing plug & guide the yellow cable through the roof lining.
Step 3 - 08:18 – Remove the microphone (if fitted) from the old light & insert it into the new W8 interior light.
Step 4 - 10:58 – Connect the W8 interior light to the T-Harness power plug & microphone plug.
Step 5 - 12:18 – Route the yellow cable along the roof lining, down the A-pillar & fix it with cable ties or tape.
Step 6 - 16:02 – Connect the yellow cable to blue/grey (Pin 10) & solder or twist it on. Tape up & make good.
Step 7 - 17:30 – Cloth tape the light switch loom & then put everything back together neatly as it was.

Switch on the light switch and observe your handy work (Hopefully they are working!)
