Niagara Falls is on the Niagara escarpment, a massive water fall that is eating its way through escarpment towards the great lakes. The falls are also a source of hydro electric power generation.
We explore the escarpment to look at the forces that shaped and carved out the niagara canyon. The Niagara escarpment stretches across much of Southern Ontario and has some interesting geology.
The Niagara Powerhouse has recently been transformed into a museum on the history of power generation, and technology. It is the old Rankine Generating Station.
Nikola Tesla had a hand in its design, built by Westinghouse and supplying 25hz it is a unique and electrical engineering masterpiece.
