Organist Craig Williams plays the hymn "God of Our Life, Through All the Circling Years" by Hugh Kerr, set to the tune "Sandon" by Charles Purday written a generation before. Kerr was born in Canada though spent most of his career as a Presbyterian minister in America, including Shadyside Presbyterian Church in Pittsbirth, PA. Charles Purday was British, serving in the Scottish Church in Crown Court, London. He sang at the coronation of Queen Victoria in 1837. The tune "Sandon" appeared in the Church and Home Metrical Psalter and Hymnal, which he published.
