In a recent survey I ran on Linkedin, I asked the following question:
‘QTD, MTD, YTD, QTD LY, MTD LY, YTD LY, AOP, MAT, Rolled Data, Smoothened Data, etc.’ Have these acronyms ever confused/ annoyed you?
1 – Yes they used to
2 – No, never
3 – They still annoy me sometimes
The following are the results of the survey:
8% – Yes they used to
33% – No, never
58% – They still annoy me sometimes
Knowing that these basic terms that form an important part of every marketer’s day to day work, I decided to help solve this problem for good with the help of this video. I explain all the abbreviations, explain their meaning, usage and importance.
