Gabriele Studer plays his own organ transcription of the "Adagietto" in F major SC 51 by Giacomo PUCCINI at the organ of Cristo Re's Church, ALBA.

Gabriele Studer, born in 1982 in Alba (Italy), studied organ and organ composition at the Civic Musical Institute “Lodovico Rocca” in Alba.
He successively became a student of Jean-Paul Imbert at the “Schola Cantorum” in Paris, where he obtained the “Diplôme de Concert” with the accreditation “Très bien à l’unanimité et félicitations du jury”, and also at the “Conservatoire à rayonnement régional” de Versailles, achieving le “Diplôme d'Études Musicales” and the first prize in Basso Continuo “à l’unanimité du jury”.
He studied organ improvisation at the “Conservatoire National de Région de Saint-Maur” in the class of Pierre Pincemaille.
He also obtained a master's degree in organ and organ composition at the "Giorgio Federico Ghedini" Conservatory in Cuneo, with an evaluation cum laude in the class of Bartolomeo Gallizio.
He has attended a large number of specialization masterclasses with Jean-Paul Imbert (Alpe d’Huez), Massimo Nosetti (Alessandria and Messina), Olivier Latry (Cuneo) and David Briggs (Roma).
He started a brilliant concert activity as a soloist, which allowed him to perform in different countries, including Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Poland and UK.
He is very interested in transcription, having completed a large number of arrangements for organ of orchestral operas, which have already been performed both in Italy and abroad. His transcription of the famous symphonic poem “In the Steppes of Central Asia” by Alexander Borodin has been published by The Edizioni Armelin Musica of Padua and recorded for the BNL record label, and for Quantum.
He recorded a CD dedicated to the music of the Italian composer Enrico Pasini, and he participated at the complete recording of the organ transcriptions by Jean-Paul Imbert.
He teaches organ and composition at the Civic Musical Institute “Lodovico Rocca” in Alba.
He is currently the official organist at the Cristo Re Church in Alba.
