Welcome to the start of our beginner Jazz Isolations course.
This course is based on the Matt Mattox Technique.
Isolations are movements that involve only one part of the body while the other parts remain still. These are the fundamentals of Jazz Dance.
Isolations are usually practiced at the beginning of every Jazz technique class.
1. Head Isolation - Video 1

3. Rib Isolation - Video 3
4. Hip isolation - Viedo 4
Once the basic isolation movements have been mastered, they can be incorporated into more complex moves and routines.
