This piece is a jazz composition inspired by Psalm 8–12 — passages that speak of God’s majesty, human frailty, trust in the Lord, and the cry for justice and faithfulness in the midst of a broken world. Through gentle harmonies, reflective melodies, and expressive improvisation, I’ve tried to capture the awe, honesty, and hope found in these Psalms.
Psalm 8 reminds us of the glory of God revealed in all creation. Psalm 9 and 10 echo the longing for justice and the assurance that God sees and remembers. Psalm 11 and 12 reflect trust in the Lord’s protection and the purity of His words. These themes flow together in this jazz arrangement as a musical meditation.
