Описание: I was lucky enough to get on court with former world no. 1 James Willstrop up at the Pontefract Squash & Leisure Club in Yorkshire. Here we are doing some simple drills that you can do yourselves. Watch how he changes his swing every time to add deception to his game. His weight of shot to the back is also immaculate, I’m having to scrape the ball out of the back corners every time. He also uses incredible soft touches into the front, leaving the ball really short.

Who is James Willstrop?
James Willstrop is one of England’s most accomplished and respected squash players, known for his tall frame, exceptional touch, and tactical intelligence on court; he reached World No. 1 in 2012, won multiple major PSA titles including the prestigious Tournament of Champions, and was a key figure in England’s international success, claiming gold medals at both the Commonwealth Games (in doubles) and the World Team Championships, while also finishing runner-up at the World Open in 2005; admired for his longevity and sportsmanship, Willstrop remained competitive at the top level well into his 30s, later becoming a prominent voice in the sport through writing and commentary.
