This video demonstrates porosity testing. Like bond testing, testing porosity is best practice before installing conductive adhesive. For the majority of conductive wet-set adhesives to cure (dry), some adhesive needs to be absorbed into the subfloor. To absorb adhesive, the floor must be porous. Results of porosity testing determine which type of conductive adhesive to use.
