How to make Pathein Halawa, ပုသိမ္ဟာလဝါ. Pathein Halawa is a Burmese Halawa (halwa, Halva) dessert recipe that is made with glutinous rice flour, butter, coconut and white poppy seeds. It is a regional recipe that comes from the Ayeyarwady region of Burma, or more specifically from the city of Pathein. The dessert as a glutinous and sticky consistency similar to Japanese Mochi and can be considered as Burmese Mochi. It can be eaten on its own as an afternoon treat and it goes great with a lovely cuppa tea. Please press the subscribe buttons and leave a comment. Thank you. Aung.
