Some people believe that putting metal in a microwave is not a big deal. But what about when the packaging on the food product is foil and gives off a noxious smell as the foil arcs, sparks and starts burning the packaging and the plastic coating over the foil starts melting?
Others may disagree citing that a little metal isn't a big deal, but for me this is an epic fail on Gerber's part. After all we are talking about babies who are usually more sensitive to just about everything.
For all of you parents who feed their child Gerber baby food, you might want to give the packaging a closer look for metallic paper before you stick it in the microwave to warm it up.
