After Army deployments, near-death experiences, an extended visit to the ICU, and a retirement after 25 years of Army service, I am home to Florida and can finally work on getting my Jeep Door Carrier out to the public!
This is the TJ mounting of the door rack. The brackets for the new JK Jeeps are shaped differently however the two front doors hang the same way. The rear doors of the four-door version hang along the sides of the rack perpendicular to the rear of the Jeep.
The doors are hung by their stock hardware- door hinges and held in place by their latches.
NOTICE- This rack is NOT intended for off-road use. It is to be used in and around town, on the highways, or beaches.
Or- as I use mine- keep your doors on while on I-4 at 75 miles an hour, then when you get to the beach, remove the doors. At the end of the day, just rehang them and drive home nice and comfy.
