How to create a Half Drop Repeat Pattern in Illustrator | Pattern Design

1. To create a half-drop repeat, you need to shift every other row of tiles by half a tile width to the right.
2. To do this, select all the layers of one row and use the move tool to drag them to the right until they align with the center of the adjacent tiles.
3. Repeat this for every other row of tiles.
4. You should see that the tiles on the edges of your design do not match each other.

This is an easy method I used frequently when I was still learning adobe illustrator interface.
It might be helpful for some of you who are just starting as a textile pattern designer.
