Day 1 of my work-vacation adventure has officially begun, and Honolulu is already exceeding expectations.

Thanks to my friend Irene, who promised this place was filled with amazing dogs to meet, I spent my first day in the sun photographing people & pets.

I met SO many amazing folks - everyone here is so happy!

Take Alex (‪@AlexHefner‬) and his dog, Ozzy, for example. I met them while heading out for a morning coffee.

Alex is a fellow creative. We talked for a while about how we both left our stable, more traditional careers to chase our creative dreams. He used to be a lawyer, now he makes movie reaction videos on YouTube (talk about a 180!).

Alex rescued Ozzy as an 8-week-old puppy from a shelter. Ozzy is a Staffy (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) who’s got a BIG heart.
