The Maritime Self-Defense Force Museum located along Kure Port in Hiroshima Prefecture displays a large collection of exhibits related to naval mines and submarines, covering the period from the post–World War II era beginning with the Maritime Safety Force.
Visitors can also enter and tour the submarine Akishio, which is moored on the north side of the museum.
