The Pink-footed goose has a ring from a banding project from Arnhem, which initially used rings that were essentially impossible to read off unless the bird was recaptured. This bird has such a ring. It does not look in great shape, but is still around. The various subspecies of Brant (or Brent) geese are considered species in the Netherlands (thus far). The pale-bellied one is very dominant, it even wanted to show the Greylag goose who is boss. Interesting behavior. All these geese are filmed on the Isle of Texel on January 18, 2025.
