I was considering pre-venting the top half of the ship as well and have the separatist stay in nano mode.
Light Laser 2 and Spetum struggle against the S1 elite. Even if I had maxed weapon training on the seppy, I would have to sneak in the beam between a tight window of half-regenerated shield bubbles, assuming they don't roll the 5% dodge chance. I like my chances way more with a Charge 2 or some other weapon that can actually deal more damage to them without precise timing. Bomb would've been an ok pickup as well seeing that my main reason for buying a weapon was for an answer to the S1 elite.
Then the salvage in S2 gave a Charge 3. That basically carried the run for a long period. Topped off with Recycler Bomb later in the sector. I would not have expected this ship to afford cloaking in S2 and a full system loadout in S3.
First jump of S4 being an MV traveller was scary but it ended up being a generic MV Rebel.
Rerouted to Rebel Stronghold hoping for the Loot Charge Laser or at least the flagship fight. Got neither of those, unfortunately.
Still blasted MV Flagship with all the projectiles.
I keep forgetting that I have a Zoltan Shield and cloak the first missile volley. Truly a moment of unnecessary damage.
