Gurdwara Nanaksar, Birmingham UK is one of several Gurdwaras across the world as part of the ‘Nanaksar Satsang Sabha’ Organisation. It is committed to spreading the message of the highly revered ‘Guru Nanak Dev Ji’ - the founder of the Sikh faith. Guru Ji preached and promoted universal brotherhood, selfless love, peace, harmony and service of all mankind.

Under the spiritual guidance of our highest priest Poojneek Baba Gurdev Singh Ji, sevadars and sangat gain strength and direction through prayers, kirtan and devotional worship of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (the Eternal Guru)

To further and promote these principles, the organisation have built many Gurdwaras around the world. They operate in very strong cooperation with one another and have fully functional Maryada (Spiritual Discipline) of Kirtan (Singing of Hymns) and services in the early hours of the morning and evening. Prayers at Nanaksar are performed for all mankind as it reiterates Guru Ji’s message of “Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Terey Bhaaney Sarbat Kaa Bhalaah”: The Supreme Being’s Name will always shine & His blessings are for all mankind.

Our Vision is to transform the world into a peaceful heaven of selfless love, serving all people equally without discrimination and helping all mankind to live in harmony with each other, our environment and our creator. We will achieve this through teachings of our Gurus and following the directions of our present living guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Nanaksar reaffirms the principles of selfless service and meditation and follow an open house policy by welcoming and serving people from any religion or group.
