Oh, this project turned out so lovely! I took an old antique/vintage box and turned it into a beautiful sewing box for living history. Lined in blue silk, this mother-of-pearl and wood box has anything I could possibly want for little sewing projects-thread in reproduction mother-of-pearl spools, scissors, an awl, buttonhook, bodkin, spaces for hooks and eyes and buttons, two thimbles, a pincushion, beaded needle book, emery cushion, antique yard measure, and a thread waxer.
