Part of the fever dream that is my old VHS baseball tape collection, I've found this bit of footage from August 6, 1991. It starts out with "Tuesday Night Baseball", where the Pirates had beaten the Mets before ESPN's scheduled Sportscenter - so we get Tony Saunders giving some highlights before the classic "dadada - dadada" Sportscenter theme song (will this video get demonetized for that? Tune in and find out! UPDATE Hilariously, it got demonetized for the cheesy background music behind the baseball highlights. But that's OK, I left the sound in.)
At the end, the Baseball Tonight show is actually from September 15, 1990. This probably means I was taping over old games and highlights on the same cassette.
Anyway, lots of classic highlights here - you got your Rob Deer, Cecil Fielder Tigers against the Joe Carter, Jimmy Key Blue Jays, and all sorts of other fun stuff.
Turn back the clock and pretend it's 1991!
