ORGANIZE My BATHROOM with ME | Tips for Clearing the Clutter in 2020 | TECHnically Designed Home

Описание: Welcome back! Today we cover part two of my organization mini-series by reorganizing my bathroom. Here are a few key timestamps:

1. GATHER together all the products from the “bath” categories in one area (hair products, skin care, soaps, etc.). This is one of my favorite recommendations from the Kon Mari organizing method.
2. MEASURE the storage areas. Don’t forget to measure the depth/height of drawers, cabinets, and each shelf.
3. CLEAN out your storage areas & current bins before placing anything back
4. GROUP your items by categories that work best for your system. I choose to organize by hair products, skincare, bath products such as shampoos and conditioners, then other hygiene products like extra toothbrushes. From there I separated out the products that I need easy access to daily versus the products that are only replaced monthly and can be stored away from the bathroom.
5. DONATE or TRASH items that are expired or you no longer use.
6. DIAGRAM your space if this helps you to visualize how baskets & containers will fit in the space. Consider the function of each area – up front items used daily versus extra products in the back.
7. SHOP at your local dollar store, Walmart, etc. A majority of these storage solutions will be out of sight for any guests. There’s no need to spend a lot of money just to be organized. (Buy extra, they can always be returned or repurposed into other areas of your home, such as your kitchen.)
8. STORE your items using the new bins. Keep in mind who needs access to each area and how the items are used on a regular basis. Organize for function, not for the sake of organizing when it will be messy again in one day. Put lesser-used items in the back of the cabinet or in another storage area, keep daily items up front and accessible. Don’t forget to use your vertical space by utilizing additional shelving & vertical drawer units.
