These skills are the foundation for goal-setting, attention, problem-solving, and long-term success, yet they are rarely taught explicitly in school.
In this session, you’ll gain a clear understanding of executive functioning skills, how they impact learning, and why they are especially important for students with learning differences. You’ll also walk away with practical, family-friendly strategies you can begin using right away to support your child’s independence, confidence, and learning habits.
This session will be led by Caroline Sumners, CEO and Founder of Empower Academic Coaching. A former middle and high school teacher, Caroline saw firsthand how students were often labeled as unmotivated or disorganized when they had simply never been taught how to manage their learning. She founded Empower to bridge that gap.
