Many of you may be wondering…what is a mobile safari? Your camp is set up from nothing and when removed, leaves nothing to tell the tale of its existence. A separate truck goes ahead of your safari group together with a full complement of staff that set up the camp before your arrival. During your stay, your tent is serviced three times a day in addition to laundry being done daily. Waiters tend to you at meal times, serving you snacks, drinks and your main course, together with the chef. Hot water is prepared over a fire and delivered to your tent upon your request for showers. Vehicles are prepared before each game drive with tea, coffee and snack box and a full beverage fridge. During winter ponchos and hot water bottles accompany you on your game drives to keep that chill from your bones while you enjoy your safari. Mobile safari is all about moving. This allows us to be in areas during the ever-changing seasons when wildlife viewing is at its best! This, complimented by the fact that you are accompanied by a specialist professional guide, will result in that safari of a lifetime!

Capture Africa was founded in 1997 by the dynamic duo, Brian & Hildrene Gibson. They have been constantly improving and nurturing the Capture Africa safari product since then and attention to detail is obvious. The quality and comfort levels and style achieved while still camping far exceed the onlookers. Based in Maun, Botswana, the Okavango Delta is a fond “playground” for the Capture Africa teams. Sharing this and other wilderness destinations with guests from around the world is a passion of the Gibson’s.

Capture Africa is a long-standing member of both “Hospitality & Tourism Association” and “Botswana Guides Association”. These associations provide its members with private sites within the Botswana National Parks and Game reserves. And private wild camping remains an experience second to none!
