Up the Bottom Beam Setting Part 2

Описание: Part 1 was all about understanding the priciples and problems associated with beam alignment using the laser beam itself and how exact you must be with mirror adjustment to arrive at a perfectly aligned beam passing through the lens axis. This part 2 concentrates on exploring the claimed ease of setting the beam with the aid of a red diode beam by looking back up the beam path from the perspective of a lens.

The APC accompanying instructions are nonsensically brief and anyone expecting this to be "beam alignment with eyes closed " will be in for a shock. There are three videos that Steve has produced to demonstrate the simplicity of his tool/method. I have attached the links below for you to watch before attemptingt use this tool. I also advise reading the comments because they are a mix of full praise, confusion and "Where is the bit that shows us how to set the beam?"

In truth this is only, at most, 50% of a beam alignment method. The other 50% is conventional scorch method for final alignment of the beam. This tool concentrates on attaining coincidence between the beam and lens axis at mirror 3. What happens before mirror 3 is all a bit vague

The reverse laser will do very little for lining up the 1st mirror. The same as your Co2 laser does little to nothing to help line up your 3rd mirror.
